Steam desktop edition with local sessions

We are evaluating a Steam desktop edition that contains the same core platform as the browser game while adding a local-session option. When online, players would still have access to accounts, publishing, remixing, challenges, community features, and online multiplayer. A local session would run room authority, audio, and persistence on the player's machine so solo creation and playback avoid server latency and can continue without an internet connection. The review will define safe local storage, offline entitlements, optional reconnect and sync behavior, compatibility with cloud compositions, updates, and recovery. Local-host multiplayer is outside the intended scope unless it falls out of the architecture with little added complexity.
