Early September: Survivor evolves and Beat Sync arrives
September 8–9, 2026
Your music is now an arcade. Fight a run powered by the composition in Survivor, or follow its signals in Beat Sync. Find both in Challenges or the in-session Arcade menu.
-
Defend the song in Survivor. Notes become attacks, enemy waves follow the music, and the stage responds to the composition. Clear the main run to continue into Encore.
-
Build attacks around your sound. Choose upgrades between waves that change how your instrument families attack, with clearer descriptions of what each choice affects.
-
Take optional side missions. Chase a crate, hold the spotlight, follow the Soundcheck pads, or take down an Amplifier for bonus XP. Spend XP on your avatar's health, speed, and dash upgrades during the run.
-
Move through more of the song. Wide compositions now get a travelling stage. More responsive dashes, clearer pause and resume screens, and touch controls support the run; results can take you straight into another Survivor song.
-
Tap the signal in Beat Sync. Play a rhythm run through one loop of the song. Tap anywhere on the playfield, press Space, or use the highlighted node; hold when the chart calls for it.
-
Follow different parts of the music. Beat Sync passes the spotlight between Sources, marks upcoming signal launches, and keeps the camera close to the active journey.
-
Adjust timing to your setup. A skippable timing warm-up and manual adjustment help align your taps with what you hear. You can revisit the adjustment from the ready screen.
-
Retry or find your next track. Beat Sync results show your run and comparable browser-local best, with Retry, Share, and another-song options for published listens. The Challenges station picks a community track to play.
